Halloween

This Halloween My dad, my mom, Toby and I went up in the canyon 4 wheeling. It was my mom's first time on my dad's new 4 wheeler.

We found a really pretty trail.

My mom had a lot of fun!

While my mom, dad and I were down trick or treating with Morgan's kids Toby and Jordan carved pumpkins.

Here is Toby's and he is very proud of it.

Here is Jordan's. His looks really cool when it is lit.

My Dad's new 4 wheeler

The guy at the store is showing him all the cool stuff it has.

Getting ready for the first ride!

It is really pretty.

He had so much fun that first day and all the other days since. He ditches work to go out with Toby. They have so much fun!

My dad got these really attractive goggles from Walmart. So Dad's style.

4 Wheeler

Here are some pictures of some of out 4 wheeling adventures in American Fork Canyon after we got back from Canada. It was so much fun and Sadie had a blast. She loved to run in front of the 4 wheeler or ride on the back. It was funny to see other people's reactions when they saw her riding. So apparently dog don't ride well on 4 wheelers.
We would pack a lunch grab some books and head up the canyon and start to explore trails that we haven't been on. When we got hungry we would find a really pretty view and eat lunch and just hang out and read or whatever. It was such a great way to spend out day.
We came around the corner to find this moose staring at us. Sadie flipped out. She wanted to go play so bad that she could still bark with me holding her mouth shut. But it just crossed the path and kept going.
This is one of the great views that we were able to see on one of out trips.

Sadie would get on the back behind me while we ride when she got really tired. She usually ran most of the way and we would ride for several miles. I can't believe how fast she can run for the amount of time we would go out for. On the way home she would be passed out in the back seat but once we got home she was ready to play again.

Sadie and I at one of out picnics spots.

The view at the picnic place.

Man and his best friend.

Toby is so happy to be able to use his 4 wheeler last year I was to much of a baby to get bundled up. But we didn'g get the 4 wheeler until after Halloween so it was a but cold so you can't blame me. But we had a ton of fun this little time we had.

Going 4 wheeling was so much fun for us. The mountains are just beautiful and spending the time together with no phones, TV or computers was so nice. I wish that the warm weather would last a bit longer so we can go more while we are not working.

I love this girl

She makes me so happy.

One Long One

Because we are really lazy we haven't posted in a long time so we decided to do just one long post with lots of stories and pics.

We were so excited to be coming home from Canada in August. The last several weeks we were living in hotels. It was quite squishy with all of our stuff and a dog to fit in a hotel room and it was very expensive to eat out as much as we had to because of the lack of kitcken. So this is Toby very excited to be back in the States where everything is cheaper and faster. The max speed limit was 62 mph or 110 kph.

We got back from Canada in time for Dee's (Gina's mom) birthday. Pritty girls.

I made my mom's cake this year and I was very proud of the outcome. Morgan usually makes the cakes and she is really good. But Morgan let me give it a try and it turned out really good. I was impressed with myself. The cake had strawberries in the middle...Yummm.

It's a Sumflower in case you didn't know.

Toby has been taking care of me so much since I have been pregnant. Food for me was not my friend for the first trimester so sweet husband of mine brought me strawberries for breakfast one morning and he cut them into heart shapes. And they were so yummy!!!

Several weeks later it was time for my birthday. And if you know me my birthday is a big deal. so this year it was a weekend thing. It was hard to plan things when I was feeling sick a lot. But we still had a lot of fun.

So for dinner the first night Morgan made some great dutch oven food and my favorite bread. That is one of my traditions for my birthday, Morgan cooks for my present and it is ALWAYS good.

My mom and I plotted a little surprise for Toby because he didn't get a birthday party while we were in Canada becasue we were so busy, so my mom made him his favorite dessert (mud pie) and he got presents. It was so funny, my mom brought out the cake and we all started to sing and when we all said Toby instead of Gina he was so confused but he totally loved it.

See so excited to have some attention.

So I always have a theme and this year Ryker helped me decide what it should be. He said that I should have a skeleton party and so I did. When we went to the party store Toby found these glowin the dark things and we had a lot of fun with those.

Here is Sadie with one around her neck and one taped to her tail. Morgan's little dog Zuma was there too and she had them too, but because Sadie has the worlds fastest swinging tail it was really fun.

Ryker and Raelin loved them too.

Raelin was a bug. So fitting.

This year like I said was a weekend event. So we had a sleepover out in my parent's front yard. The Somers family all slept on the trampoline and Toby and I slept on the air mattress on the lawn. (my back has not been happy latley). But the best part was Alaina (Morgan's youngest 7-8 months old) She was in her pack-n-play and when I woke up I looked over at here and she as just laying there staring at me and I waved at her and she waved back. Just about the cutiest thing EVER!!! Raelin and Ryker came crawling in Toby and my sleeping bag (it was not big enough) really early. They love when we stay the night with them so they can come cuddle with us in the morning. Needless to say Toby and I don't get a lot of sleep when we stay the night at their house.

The next morning we went to church at my parents ward. And we just hung out and played games the whole day. But the highlight of the day was the Cinnimon-roll-a-roma. We had 3 different kinds of cinnamon rolls. Sugar, sugar, sugar. I loved it. It helped with the napping.

Then it was time for dinner and cake.

This is my cake that Morgan made for me and she whipped it up in a couple of min. I loved it. It was to tasty too. Skeleton was the best theme I have ever done.

Another tradition for my birthdays...Pinata!!! I love pinatas its great getting the adults spinning on a bat and seeing them try to hit it while all dizzy. Way more fun then watching the kids. They just like the candy that flies everywhere.

Toby took one of the glow in the dark things and broke it open and outlined the pinata and it was so much fun doing it at night. What a great birthday.

The cat in Swift Current

We are now in a town called Swift Current. There is this cat that is hanging out around our hotel room. Every time we take Sadie out she looks for the darn thing. Today Toby wanted to see if Sadie would play with the cat. Or more interesting if the cat would be brave enough to play with Sadie. They actually got along pretty well for just meeting and being a cat and a dog.
They actually did well. This is them playing. The cat was really interested in Sadie and Sadie really liked chasing the cat around.

Look how sad they were when we kicked the cat out. They just sat like that for a long time. What is even more sad is that this was the most exciting thing that has happened to us in about 2 months.

CRAZY SUMMER update

I feel that ever since Toby and I got married our life together has been one crazy ride and this summer is no exception.

Our summer started out in Fort McMurry. Dirty, smelly but super successful. Then is was off to Grande Prairie. Nice townhouses, was cleaner and not as successful but still really successful. Then we had no more area so we started to travel...BOO. Since the beginning of the year Toby and I have lived in 10 different cities.

We lived in a town called Bonnyville for a while. Leave it to Canada to name their towns and cities and Provence's the weirdest names. But we were staying in a Best Western in Bonnyville and it was awesome (for a hotel), They made us cookies everyday. And they let us use the breakfast room at night to play games and they even let Sadie run around in there while we played. It was awesome. So this one day I was just laying around and talking to Verizon...(LOVE the cell plans they have up here...NOT) and there was a knock at the door. Toby was weird about me answering it while I was still on the phone. But when I answered it was the guy from the front desk with flowers. Toby had sent me flowers for our anniversary. I totally forgot (I still get crap for it). I even had to get out a 2006 calender to check. I am so bad. But I got the front desk guy to bake some cookies at midnight for us so I kind of made up for it.

So now it is uber slow and it is wearing on us and all the office. They are wanting to move again. So wahoo for Pinnicle this year.

So for the second we are in Calgary and we live in the ghetto, but at least we are not living in a hotel so we are happier but we are totally ready to go home.

UPDATE!!

We are in Canada and we are so busy. I have not really had anytime to do anything but work and Toby is all over managing all the new techs he has. Jesse (my brother) is doing awesome out here just installing like crazy. He is the Toby of this year. The poor dog haven't really had time outside. It is so muddy out here. There is just dirt all over the place. But we are doing well just working and trying to sleep. And that is our life!

Record Time!!

I finished the hardest blanket I have ever made in record time. It was so hard because I had to untwist the yarn every row or so. It sucked but it was worth it and Toby had made me a box for the yarn that really helped. I started the end of December and my goal was the end of February and I finished it February 28th athankyouverymuch! (its all smushed together so that you say it really fast!!)
Sorry these pictures suck but its a good lookin blanket. My favorite part is that my toes don't pop out like most crochet blankets.

This thing is huge. I added about 43 more rows so that Toby could tuck his feet in.
I ran out of yarn like 10 times and bought all of the red yarn from Michael in a 50 mile radius from my apartment. Just to give you an idea it takes about 20 min to do a row. I love it and I definitely want to make another one to perfect this pattern.
Morgan didn't even have to help me that much this time.

Sleepover

I feel like like all my posts are about my dog. OH well!! HAHAHA

Jesse went to Reno to do some work, so we took Lady and had a little sleepover. It was really fun. I starting thinking how fun it would be to have 2 dogs!! I bet my parents are laughing after hearing that.

We live 2 blocks from the Sacramento Temple and they have a ton of property and most of it is like this park kind of place. The dogs love it. There are geese and deer and wild turkey. So they are running all over.

It's just beautiful there!!

Look at these things!!!

Lady loves to fetch tennis balls and Sadie loves to fetch Lady.

The Lake

There is a beautiful lake walking distance from our appartment in California. The dogs (our dog Sadie and Jesse's dog Lady) love going there to swim and they get to run around all the way there too.

The girls having a ball on the way to our spot.

Its so beautiful there. There is big meadow behind us where to dogs can play fetch and just run around to warm up between swimming sessions.

Toby at out favorite place.

Jesse found a 2X4 and the dogs love fetching it!! It's really funny.

Look at that team work.

Lady has a hard time stearing, so she will end up swimging in circles. Then when she finally makes to the shore she is 1/4 mile away so Jesse has to go find her and the 2X4. It's great, she tries so hard.

I LOVE how Lady jumps in the water. She does it every time and I can't get enought.

This is how Sadie gets in the water. I think its funny how Sadie will wait until Lady brings the 2X4 that close then jumps in to "help".

Random Catchup!!

So I just wanted to so a little catchup. My mom wanted to see our new apartment. So here are some random pics.

The kitchen and laundry room.

The living room but it looks different now. We moved the bed where that chair it. See that couch? That is, I think, that worst couch on the planet. It totally sucks.
The view from in the living room.

So you can see Moroni from my balcony. Yeah the Sacramento temple is 2 lights away from my house. It is beautiful I love it. It took me about 2 weeks to figure that out. Jesse (my brother) he likes to make fun of me. But the temple has a TON of property. They have a huge park with trees and grass and it is just beautiful. The dogs LOVE to run around and chase the turkeys, geese and deer. One day we were pulling up and Sadie jumped out of the back of Jesse's truck and bolted after the turkeys. It was crazy.

This is Toby's first time making German pancakes by himself. He is so proud and he should be it was huge and really yummy.

Ok So not that much of a random catchup but I've got more post to put up that deserve their own post!
