Sadie's Birthday

YES I had a birthday party for my dog. My dad laughed for a good while when I told him. But I say any excuse to get together and have some good food is a good idea. So it was Sadie's 2nd birthday so lets PARTY!!! We had it at my parents house so the dogs had some room to run. I made a cake for Sadie.
The cake that I made for her that my mom is putting the wording on because my mom is amazing at it.
Toby added a little sausage to the honey and cinnamon cake. Yummy huh?

She did so good until Toby said it was ok. What a good little girl.
Look at that concentration!! She is so fun!!
"MMMM sausage and honey how did you know those are my favorite" She licked all of the frosting off first.
Cooper circling until he gets a turn. Poor dog we need to have a party for his birthday now too so he gets a cake. Morgan cut a chunk off for him and is swallowed it whole. But after Cooper got some Sadie decided to stop licking and bit it or Cooper would get it all.
Alaina is just SO cute!
Such pretty eyes.
Sweet little slobber monster!!

What a fun day. Thanks to everyone who came to make Sadie's 2nd birthday her best so far haha. I can't wait until someone else has a birthday party for their dog so I can try the other recipes that I found for dog cakes.

The Zoo

Morgan invited Toby and I to the Zoo with Ryker's class. As long as it wasn't raining we were in.
Oh Russell makes the funniest faces!
Toby did an amazing job at taking pictures of Russell and all of the animals. What a funny man.
Russell with the wild turkey's. Can you see the spit up. What timing!!
The elephant had a baby and we got there just in time for breakfast (so cute). All I have to say is that it would just have dogs if I had to be pregnant for as long as they do.
Raelin and Ryker with their capes on.
It's funny how almost every animal ugly or not is so cute when it's a baby.
Toby's picture magic.
I love seeing pictures of my new family but at the same time it makes me sad because it is just a reminder of how neglected Sadie is. Poor dog went from going everywhere with us to never going anywhere.
The post is blocking the rhino.

In this picture we are all on a scale to see what all of our weights put together are. We weigh a little less then a baby elephant.
Penguins. We all wore some sort of animal shirt for a theme. Ryker had a giraffe shirt, Toby wore a gorilla shirt and so I dressed Russell in his born to be wild shirt.
He looks so upset.
I think he has amazing head control.
There is a red panda up there somewhere.
Oh can you tell that they have the same head?
Hat buddies.
His head is still to small for this hat and he moves his head so much that his hat kept doing this. So here is my little gangsta baby at the zoo.
My boys...and the back of Morgan's kids heads.
My sister got the BEST picture of the giraffe doing the splits. It was so funny. I'll get a copy and post about it when I get it, so keep an eye out for that.
We liked taking pictures at the giraffe area.
Brice's brother saw this picture and said, "Wow that giraffe looks so real."
We had to hold him in the air to get the giraffe in the picture with him. I realized then that I am not that strong.
Also we picked out this blanket to go with the animal theme we were going for that day. Perfect huh?
Toby's eyes look so amazing here. I hope Russell gets Toby's eyes.
The tigers were eating when we got there. Their habitat is not the best for taking pictures so this is the best we got. But it was cool so see them finally. (the 3 times that I have been to this zoo I have never seen the tigers.)
Toby posed the kids like this. I was thinking of how many mom's would see this and just be so disgusted that their kids mouths were on this thing, but no not our family. The germier the better. The funny thing about that is my mom is a germaphobe.
Cool bald eagles.
I think one of them didn't have a wing.
OLD MAN FACE!!! Love it! (this is actually his stretching face...it's a favorite)
Russell looking at the monkeys.

As the day went on it got cloudy and while we were eating lunch we got hailed on. So after we ate we decided to call it a day!! We are so glad that we went. I just hope that Toby and I can keep up with all of these outings when Russell can actually remember them.

Russell Pictures

This day I felt like super mom. This is a baby carrier that my sister let me borrow until the one she is making me is done. But Russell was in the mood where he just wanted to be held and this was the day after Brice's graduation party. So there was LOTS to clean. And if you remember from that post Toby was MIA doing some really important 4 wheeling with my dad (I hope you all caught the sarcasm...when is 4 wheeling ever THAT important?)
Dishes are harder to do like this then when I was pregnant!! But they got done hence the super mom status.
My little man chilling at Morgan's house.
I was at Morgan's house while Toby was working on a shed with Brice when Angel (Morgan's Sister-In-Law) walked in and totally snatched Russell. She held him for a long time until he got tired and ended up falling asleep like this.
He is already wearing the next size up. But we didn't have ANY 0-3 month clothes for him. So we went to Target (I love Target) and got him a bunch of super cute outfits!!
So this is one of them!! Love the little shorts.
Then it just turned into a little photo shoot of the cute little kid.
Piggy back with daddy!!
Toby showing him what he could look like in 25 years. HAHAHA
He just looks like a little man!
I just love how happy Toby look in these pictures. It's almost like he is starting to like being a daddy (just joking Toby LOVE being a dad to Russell)
Oh he is starting to smile so much and it is so hard to catch without a regular camera. All of our pictures are off of my phone. It does a great job but it is hard to get ready in time and it take 4 years to take 2 pictures in a row...so not so kid friendly. We will have to upgrade SOON!!!
Oh he just melts my heart (not so much right not because he won't stop crying,! I guess he is jealous that I am on the computer and not holding him)
I wake up and just stare at this little face for about an hour to an hour and a half every morning. It's our little play time!
The end of a long, cute smile session.
