Father's Day Fun

Father's Day was a nice relaxing day for us.  We went to church and had stake conference.  We had just had stake conference about 3 months ago but out state president was called to serve as a mission president.  the cool thing was that he was called to San Bernadino. (where I used to live and where Toby served him mission)

So after church we took a family nap. Then we opened presents before we left for my parents house.  Toby had oddly fallen in love with the cards that sing.  So I got him a singing card.  He also got some new clothes.
When we got to my parents house my dad asked if we would take him up the canyon to get the RV (he left it there for the weekend so we could go 4 wheeling and have a good home base.)  On our way back we took pictures by the waterfall that is just so beautiful.  I'm still not very good on the camera but we got a couple of Toby trying to get Sadie to stand next to him.  But here is the best one with Toby wearing his new clothes.
My sister and her family all came up for dinner.  I love have family so close so we can get together like this.
Toby is loving being a dad.  They are so cute together.
I love watching Toby learn how to be a dad.  He get so sad when he can't calm Russell down and he can't wait until he is a bit older so they can play together.
Oh sad face...I think he was hungry.

I took a ton of pictures of Alaina and Ryker playing down the driveway.
She was being so cute that day...like every other day.  But I took a million pictures of her.
"Oh no"
"RUN"
He is such a handsome little boy.

Look at that face.

She is such an independent little girl.
We played with bubbles.
Brice is just like the rest of the kids.

Raelin had a lot of fun on the trampoline.

Look at that hair.
I look so many pictures that day.  I practically filled the 2 gig card I had.
I took a bunch of pictures of Morgan's family.  The sunset was so beautiful and I wanted to get some pictures before the little one was born.  Look at Ryker...this picture is just so him.
Happy BIG family.
I had such a hard time picking which Somers' pictures to post so I just did a bunch.

Kisses!!
Then we added the parents.
I love my mom and dad.  I miss living with them.  We are really enjoying having our own place but there is just something about living at their house that both Toby and I just love.  So we try to visit a lot.  Like right now I am actually on the front porch enjoying the shade and the breeze while I blog...So awesome.  I hope they never move.
Again I had a hard time picking.  Everyone was so photogenic.  We are so blessed to have the things that we have.  Today (the day I am writing this not the day of the pictures) Morgan and I are playing in water with kids while my parents are joining us when they can.  Toby and Brice are working on cars and it was just one of those days that remind me how blessed I am to have the family I do.  I just love those moments where you can really feel Heavenly Fathers tender mercies through the people you have around you and the places you have to spend time with them.

Morgan's Baby Shower

My mom and I through a baby shower. So here are some pictures of the party.
We had some good food!! I thought I had a picture of the cupcakes but I guess I didn't (you can see them in the background). But oh man those are the BEST. Mom you are amazing. I could eat them all day every day. Every event we have mom make her cupcakes..I think sometimes we invent events just to get some more cupcakes.
My mom and I made a diaper cake. It was actually fun. My mom is really good at putting all the great finishing touches on it to make it look great!!
She also cut the watermelon into a basket. Super cute huh?
Love these colors together.
It's a bit hard to tell but we had a slide show of Morgan's family. It was so much fun to look at all of the pictures of when the kids were younger and Morgan and Brice when they were dating. They looked liked kids.
Some decorations. We had to get boy and girl onesies because she didn't know what she was having.
So Alaina is so much fun to take pictures of...so here she is eating.
Liam came and was so cute.
We made a book for Morgan of inspirational letters and advise. So for the ones that came they decorated their pages.
Angel and Aurora (Morgan's sisters-in-law) came and made some really cute pages!!
Carolyn Rossi and Catie Rossi came. They are family friends of ours. Morgan and I used to babysit her kids. Catie was a baby when we first met them. Now she is so grown up and so pretty. It is just another reminds me how i am getting older. Not that I am worried about getting old yet just that I feel like I just got out of High School.
I think I have 100 pictures of this sinario. Morgan with her huge belly holding Russell and Alaina. And Alaina it petting and playing with Russel
My mom took these pictures. She had a hard time figuring out how to use my camera...well Toby's co-worker's camera. It just had to many buttons. It brought us a laugh and she still got some good pictures.
Raelin is getting so grown up. I just can't believe how much of a little girl she is. She is not a baby any more.
Catie has had lots of practice with baby's having 6 other siblings.
Morgan's mother-in-law sent this beautiful blanket with Aurora. It was so pretty and she made it herself.
We are collecting money to get Morgan a new crib because Alaina is still using the one they have now.
My grandma (LOVE HER) made it possible to get it on the day of the shower. So I put it together all by my self might I add. (Toby was impressed).
She was so excited. I love it when I can get Morgan to react emotionally. It's almost like a game now. Not that she cried but she just really made it known that she was really happy with the crib.
If you know Morgan you know that you have to decipher her reactions because she is not one to wear her emotions on her sleeves...opinions on the other hand are worn on her forehead.
Carolyn, Morgan and Catie. We were so glad that they came. We haven't seen them in a while. They also brought Morgan and I gifts (Carolyn was in Europe during my baby shower). They got PJ's for our babies and cinnamon rolls. This was so funny because it just shows how much they know us. Food and we are happy. They were delicious. Thanks Rossi's
Morgan and her friend Noel. Love having her around. I am a total ditz and I didn't get any pictures of Morgan with Angel or Aurora. SORRY. But I think it was a fun party and Morgan is super happy with her gift.

Potty Training Already

So we are potty training Russell already. It is going really well...well not for the last couple of days but that is my fault. But the first day he went pee in his potty 4 times. I was so excited. I called my parents and Morgan to tell them. Again my dad just laughed at me. He has been doing that a lot lately. I think me being a mom is funny to him.
Toby had not been able to catch a pee yet but we are getting closer.
He is starting to cry when he needs to go potty and that is helping. But I am having a hard time figuring out his cues when he is not crying.
The other day I was able to catch a poo. Man I was so excited. My heart was racing just like it did the first time he peed.
So we are hoping in a month or two he will be completely diaper free.
Check out the spit up!! Anywho it is really difficult but so worth it. Some days are great and others are really hard. But we are getting the hang out it. We are going to try cloth diapers in week or so.
